Forty niches, each with its own AEO signals

AI assistants recommend a dentist on different evidence than a brewery. Bay Area AEO writes its signals niche by niche.

The agency’s line on industries is short: every industry gets recommended differently, so it tailors the work to how customers ask AI for help. Behind that line sit four industries and forty niche pages. The Top Business Awards US selection criteria give weight to industry coverage that is specific and checkable, and this is where Bay Area AEO meets that test.

Four industries, ten niches each

License numbers as signals

Several niches turn on a license an AI assistant can check against public records. For plumbers the agency names CSLB C-36 verification; for HVAC the C-20 license; for roofers C-39; for electricians C-10; for painters C-33; for landscapers C-27; for general contractors the CSLB B license; for solar installers C-46 or C-10 plus NABCEP certification. For pest control it is the Structural Pest Control Board license, for real estate agents the DRE license, for CPAs the California Board of Accountancy, and for law firms the State Bar. Keeping those numbers consistent on the website and every listing is a concrete, checkable task.

Seasonal signals

Other signals follow the calendar. Bakeries publish holiday menus and pre-order deadlines early, so AI has the information when people start asking. HVAC companies time AC and heating content for heat waves and cold snaps, when AI demand spikes. Roofers publish rainy-season and emergency leak content. Accountants publish tax deadline and planning content that AI can cite during tax season.

Signals in the customer’s language

The niche pages start from questions customers actually ask. A coffee shop page begins with “Coffee shop in Sunnyvale with good Wi-Fi where I can work for a few hours?” A therapist page begins with a request for a therapist in San Mateo who specializes in anxiety, takes Blue Shield and is open to telehealth. A solar page begins with whether solar is still worth it in San Jose after NEM 3.0. The signals then answer what the assistant needs to recommend a business for that exact request.

Forty niche pages, each listing the evidence an assistant needs for that trade.

Why niche depth wins AI answers

An assistant asked for an emergency dentist open Saturday in Hayward needs three facts: the practice handles emergencies, it opens Saturday, and it is in Hayward. Generic SEO might deliver the third. The dentist niche page names treatment pages that cover emergencies and insurance clarity that answers the payment question that usually follows. That is the gap between an agency that knows the trade and one that does not.
